Payroll Processor (Temp)
Description:
The Payroll Processor is responsible for the daily coordination and administration of employee payroll, ensuring proper reporting and tax requirements are met according to established schedules.
Responsibilities:
- Process employee payroll, including timekeeping records
- Reconcile payroll prior to transmission and validate confirmed reports
- Ensure accuracy of payroll by processing pre-payroll transmissions audits and balancing prior transmission to outside payroll service vendor
- Process correct garnishment calculations and compliance
- Process non-pay related maintenance such as W4 changes, voluntary deduction setups and changes
- Process reports for certified payroll requirements
- Monitor and update control spreadsheets
- Process internal management reports as requested
- Provide customer service to employees and managers with payroll related inquires
- Assist with administrative Human Resources activities, will include coordination of Human Resources activities
- Other duties as requested
Requirements:
Associate's degree or related experience. Proficiency with Microsoft Office. Experience with automated time keeping system desired. Familiarity with ADP a must. Union experience is preferred. 2-3 years relevant experience required. Experience processing payroll for multiple sites a plus. Must have attention to detail. Ability to maintain confidentiality. Excellent data entry skills. Must be a team player with effective communication and customer service skills.
